About the Role
We’re seeking a dependable and professional Class 1 Linehaul Driver to join our team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for the safe and on-time delivery of full truckload freight between terminal locations. Responsibilities
- Complete routine pre-trip inspections and basic maintenance checks (brakes, tires, fluids, etc.)
- Perform emergency and preventative maintenance and report any damage to dispatch
- Operate vehicle and equipment according to training and licensing standards
- Adhere to the National Safety Code, provincial traffic laws, and TDG regulations
- Comply with all company policies, including Occupational Health & Safety standards
- Communicate with dispatch using company-provided mobile devices
- Safely operate in all weather and traffic conditions
- Perform trailer hookups/unhooking, load securement (chains, straps), and tire chaining when needed
- Maintain accurate logbooks (ELD or paper), including mileage and hours
- Keep vehicle clean inside and out
- Report all incidents or injuries to dispatch immediately
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Terminal Manager or dispatch team
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of verified Class 1 professional driving experience (Linehaul – LTL preferred)
- Valid Class 1 license with LCV certification
- Clean Commercial Driver’s Abstract (fewer than 4 demerits)
- Ability to pass a Criminal Record Check
- Must comply with company drug & alcohol policy, including pre-employment, post-incident, and random testing
- Understanding and compliance with the National Safety Code
- Commitment to completing all required training and retraining
