NW Transport Employees Inc. (116, 25901 114 Avenue, Acheson, AB) is seeking experienced Class One Long-haul Truck Drivers for full-time (55 - 65 hours) single and team (permanent) positions as soon as possible.
Our drivers transport LTL and general freight to terminals throughout Western Canada. Mostly dock-to dock operations in Alberta, Saskatchewan, British Columbia the Northwest Territories and Yukon. Drivers are expected to travel in all weather conditions through prairie, hills, and mountain environments. Routes include the operation of various trailer-combinations.
The ideal candidate will:
Have a minimum of 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience
Possess a valid Class 1 driving licence
Be available and able to drive at night or early morning
Be prepared to complete training that will include classroom courses, mountain qualification training and long combination vehicle (LCV) qualification training
Be proficient in the English language
Have a secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Have less than 5 demerits on their commercial abstract
Pass a criminal record search
We offer:
A wage of $29.00 - $32.00 per hour - single driver.
$35.00 - $47.00 per hour, per team. (each driver can earn: $115,000 - $140,000 per year).
$0.10 per mile LCV Premium for all drivers.

Duties:
Operate and drive various tractor-trailer combinations to transport goods (may include dangerous goods)
Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy
Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
Perform emergency roadside repairs
Receive and relay information to central dispatch
Tarp and ensuring safety and security of cargo
Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
